FAQs
No, I am a Postpartum Doula in training providing traditional, non-clinical bodywork. Because this is ancestral physical care rather than clinical RMT massage, it cannot be billed under clinical massage therapy benefits. However, many flexible health spending accounts (HSA) do cover postpartum doula services!
Mother and baby care are always held together as one inseparable focus. You never have to choose between taking care of yourself and getting help with your newborn. Every visit includes hands-on newborn soothing, and real-time feeding guidance while your baby rests safely in your arms or held by me—allowing you to rest deeply or receive bodywork.
A nanny focuses strictly on the baby, and a massage therapist focuses strictly on a clinical muscle session. As a postpartum doula in training, I hold your entire home environment. In a single visit, I provide traditional postpartum bodywork, guide you through newborn cues and feeding, hand you a fresh homemade recovery meal, and hold space for how you’re really doing
Deep doula care means knowing my exact scope. I provide practical feeding support (latch guidance, pumping routines, bottle transitions). If we encounter complex clinical lactation challenges, physical complications, or perinatal mental health concerns, I immediately refer you to trusted IBCLCs, physicians, or therapists in our community.
To give us maximum hands-on time during your visit, all meals are cooked fresh in my home and brought directly to yours. They are designed around traditional, nutrient-dense postpartum recovery foods that support healing and strength. I would send you an intake form before your session where you can select your meal preferences and dietary restrictions.
