 Client Service Agreement

Scope of Services

The Gentle Nest provides non-medical, in-home care for mothers and their newborns during the early stages of motherhood. Services may include:

  • Gentle newborn care (feeding, soothing, diapering, bathing)

  • Light household support (bottle sanitizing, tidying baby areas)

  • Spa-style rituals for mom (foot soak, warm compress, gentle body massage and wrapping, nourishing  meals, tuck-in)

  • Emotional presence and companionship

Note: The Gentle Nest does not provide medical advice, lactation consulting, or clinical care. Referrals to trusted professionals will be offered when needed.

Some services are adapted based on how baby is doing.

Availability, Locations & Scheduling

Services are available in Airdrie, Balzac, Calgary, Chestermere, and Cochrane. View the booking calendar for exact hours.

Sessions must be booked in advance. Availability is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Rates & Payment Terms

  • Payment is due within 24 hours after each session.

  • Accepted payment methods: in person credit or debit card payments or Interac e-transfer.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations and rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Any changes (cancellation or rescheduling) within 24 hours are subject to 50% cost of the service and < 2 hours or no show are subject to 100% of the cost of services

  • If The Gentle Nest must cancel  or reschedule due to illness or emergency, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered a reschedule.

Client Responsibilities

  • To ensure a safe and nurturing environment, clients agree to:

  • Provide a clean, safe space for care

  • Disclose any allergies, sensitivities, or relevant health information

  • Communicate clearly about preferences and comfort levels

Confidentiality

All personal and family information shared during sessions will be kept strictly confidential and will not be shared without written consent, except where required by law.

 Liability Disclaimer

The Gentle Nest is not liable for any medical complications, injuries, or outcomes related to the care provided. Services are offered as non-clinical, emotional and physical support only.

Safety & Respect Policy

The Gentle Nest reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services at any time if the caregiver feels unsafe or disrespected in the client’s home. This includes, but is not limited to, instances of:

  • Verbal abuse

  • Physical intimidation or harm

  • Emotional manipulation or harassment

  • Unsafe or unsanitary conditions

Likewise, clients have the right to expect respectful, compassionate, and professional care at all times.

Mutual respect is the foundation of this service. Any form of abuse — verbal, physical, or emotional — will not be tolerated by either party.

Termination of Services

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time with written notice. Any outstanding payments must be settled within 7 days of termination.

Acknowledgment

By booking a session, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Client Service Agreement.
