About Me

Welcome! My name is Kemi, and The Gentle Nest is the expression of my heart’s deepest calling to nurture. In Yoruba, Kemi means "pamper me" or "care for me lovingly", a name that has always felt like a quiet reflection of who I am. I was born to care, to hold space, and to restore.

Rooted in the rich traditions of West African postpartum care and inspired by global rituals of mothering, I created The Gentle Nest to bring softness, warmth, and presence to new mothers right where they are. This isn’t just a service; it’s a return to the village, to the knowing that mothers deserve to be held too. This is not another clinical care, it is your space, to connect with your body.

Client Love

"The gentle care provided by Kemi was exactly what I needed. She created a safe space for me to just be me with gentleness and calm. When my 3 month old would cry, she would calm him until he stopped without interrupting my rest during a time I was connecting with myself."

- Hannah

"The postpartum care I received was incredibly nurturing. It helped me relax and rejuvenate during a challenging time and connect with my body."

- Tomiwa
