Because you deserve to be mothered, too

Care that centers the mother as much as the baby

The Gentle Approach

Nurturing support that meets you exactly where you are.

At The Gentle Nest, every visit is more than just help — it’s a quiet exhale, a sacred pause, and a moment to be held in the whirlwind of new motherhood.

Here’s how our in-home care works, from start to finish:

1

You Book a Session

Choose the timing that fits your season — Evening Reset (3 hrs), Midnight Nest (4 hrs), or Golden Morning (6 hrs).

2

We Connect Beforehand, Gently

Once your booking is confirmed, I’ll reach out to schedule a Gentle Intro Call — a short, optional phone chat (10–15 minutes) so I can truly understand how to support you and your baby best.

Too tired to talk? You can answer by message or email instead, no pressure.

3

I Arrive Quietly and Gently

We begin with a check-in: How are you really doing?
You can vent, cry, sit in silence, or simply hand me your little one. Every moment is met with calm, care, and presence.

I’ll take the baby while you take a moment — or I’ll care for you both together.

4

Care That Wraps Around You

During your session, I may…

Rock, feed, bath, change  or soothe your baby

Give you a foot soak, warm compress or light back massage

Tuck you into bed while I care for baby

Brew you tea and serve a light meal

Clean bottles, pump parts, or tidy baby’s corner

Light a calming candle, dim the lights, and gently reset the room

5

I Leave You Rested

When our time ends, you’ll feel different. Lighter. Calmer. More held.
And if you’re asleep? I quietly clean up, leave a short note, and slip away so you can stay wrapped in rest.

It’s Not Just Support — It’s Sacred

You’re not hiring a nanny, housekeeper, or doula. You’re saying yes to being mothered, witnessed, and gently cared for, in your own home.

FAQs

What exactly do you do during a visit?

Each session includes gentle care for both mother and baby. That might look like rocking or feeding your baby, offering you a foot soak or warm compress, tucking you into bed, tidying the nursery or bottles, preparing a light snack, or simply offering calm, supportive company. Every visit flows intuitively based on what you and your baby need most in the moment.

Do I need to clean or prep before you arrive?

Not at all. This is sacred space, not a performance. You don’t need to tidy up, dress up, or explain anything. I arrive ready to support you exactly as you are. Think of the presence of a friend who you trust, who does not judge you.

Is this a doula or medical service?

No. I do not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or lactation consultations. I’m not a certified doula. The Gentle Nest offers spa-like, heart-centered postpartum support focused on nurturing, rest, and care — not clinical care. Think: an emotional and physical exhale in your own home.

What if my baby is awake or fussy during the visit?

That’s completely okay — babies are babies! Whether they’re awake, sleepy, crying, or playful, I care for them with calm and compassion while you rest or receive care. Every visit is flexible and paced with gentleness.

Can I sleep during the visit?

Absolutely. Many moms choose to rest while I care for baby or tidy up. You can use this time however feels best — sleep, shower, eat, or simply sit in silence while someone gently holds the space around you. Before you snooze, you can receive back or foot massage.

Will we talk before the session?

Yes. Once your session is booked, we’ll have a short Gentle Intro Call (10–15 minutes) to understand what you’re needing most. It’s relaxed, optional, and helps me show up with the right energy and tools for you and baby.

Do you offer overnight care or full-day support?

Currently, my offerings include 3-hour, 4-hour, and 6-hour premium care sessions, available evenings, nights (up to 2am), and mornings. Extended or custom visits may be offered — feel free to ask if you have a special request.

How far do you travel?

I serve families in Calgary, Airdrie, Balzac, Strathmore, and Okotoks. If you’re nearby but unsure, just reach out — I’d love to chat.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations or rescheduling are allowed up to 24 hours in advance. After that, a $50 fee will be charged to the card on file. This allows me to honor time and preparation for each visit. To cancel or reschedule, fill out the contact form on the contact us page.
